What information we collect

We collect only the information necessary to process your donation and communicate with you:

  • Name and email address — when donating or submitting an enquiry
  • Donation amount and date — for our internal accounts
  • Danish CPR number — only if you voluntarily wish to claim a tax deduction under §8A. The CPR number is collected via email, not through the donation form, and is passed exclusively to the Danish Tax Agency.

Purpose and legal basis

We process your information for the following purposes:

  • Processing and documenting your donation (legal basis: performance of a contract, GDPR art. 6(1)(b))
  • Reporting to the Danish Tax Agency for tax deduction purposes (legal basis: legal obligation, GDPR art. 6(1)(c))
  • Responding to enquiries (legal basis: legitimate interest, GDPR art. 6(1)(f))

Disclosure of information

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except:

  • The Danish Tax Agency — when reporting tax-deductible donations under §8A
  • Our payment provider (Stripe) — when processing online donations. Stripe acts as a data processor and handles data solely on our behalf.

Retention period

Donation records are retained for 5 years in accordance with Danish bookkeeping legislation. CPR numbers are deleted immediately after reporting to the Tax Agency. Other enquiries are deleted no later than 2 years after receipt.

This website uses technically necessary cookies for language selection (Polylang) and basic website functionality (WordPress). We do not use analytics cookies, marketing cookies, or third-party tracking tools.

You have the right at any time to:

  • Access the information we hold about you
  • Have incorrect information corrected
  • Have your information deleted, unless we are legally required to retain it
  • Object to the processing of your data
